How to add a management fee

See the management fee on a portfolio, or enter a fee on one account.

The management fee is part of the scenario's return settings. The screen shows a gross return, the fee, and the net return.

See the fee on the portfolio

  1. Open the client's Financial Insights and confirm Current Scenario.

  2. Open Assumptions → Portfolios – Asset Allocations.

  3. For Pre Retire and Post Retire, read Gross rate of return, Management fee, and Net rate of return.

Pre-retire and post-retire portfolios, each showing gross rate of return, management fee, and net rate of return

A fee of 0% means the net return matches the gross return.

Set a fee on one account

  1. Open Assumptions → Detailed Returns.

  2. Find the account.

  3. For the phase you want to change, select Use custom allocation.

  4. Enter allocations that total 100%, and enter the Management fee in that panel.

  5. Select Save in the panel.

  6. Check the Net RoR shown for that account and phase.

The fee you choose stays with the advisor. For the rest of the return settings, see How to review return assumptions and set account-level portfolio overrides.
