Understanding Client Updates on the Advisor Dashboard

Understand the Client Updates count and distinguish it from household alerts and firm-wide News Alerts.

Use Client Updates to see whether client-level updates are waiting for review. It is separate from firm-wide News Alerts and the alerts shown inside one client's dashboard.

Client Updates

The Client Updates area appears on the Advisor Dashboard and shows a count of pending client-level updates across the clients you can access.

When an update is available:

  1. Open Client Updates.

  2. Select the client associated with the update.

  3. Review the update and the relevant client information.

How the dashboard notices differ

  • Client Updates: Pending updates associated with clients.

  • Client Dashboard alerts: Prompts that apply to one household, such as a Will or insurance item.

  • News Alerts: Firm-wide product, tax, guideline, or general notices.

Alerts are prompts to review information. They do not decide what is suitable for a client.

Common issues

  • The count does not change after an edit. Confirm that the change was saved, then refresh the Advisor Dashboard.

  • An update remains after review. Reopen the listed client and the update itself. Contact Planworth Support if it remains after a refresh.

  • A client is missing. Confirm that you can access the household in the current workspace.
