A scenario is the saved plan you are reviewing. Toggles add individual planning strategies to that scenario. A Strategy groups existing toggles under one name on the same scenario.
The relationship
Scenario: assumptions, sliders, toggles, and results saved together for one planning alternative
Toggle: one named control that can be active or inactive on that scenario
Strategy: a named group of toggles on that scenario
Grouping toggles does not create a new scenario, change the Evaluation, or prove that the grouped approach is appropriate for the client.
Use toggles for a focused test
Turn one saved toggle off and on when you want to isolate its effect without changing other inputs.
Use Summary → Toggle Review to confirm which toggles are included in the open scenario.
Use a Strategy for organization
Create a Strategy when several existing toggles represent one planning idea and a shared name will make the set easier to review. The member toggles still retain their own settings.
Use another scenario for a larger branch
Create or clone a scenario when the alternative also changes major assumptions or when you need to preserve two complete versions for comparison.
For example, comparing different retirement dates with different assumptions is clearer as two scenarios. Testing one contribution control may only require turning one toggle off and on.
