Understanding Financial Insights

Understand how Financial Insights uses scenarios, assumptions, goals, sliders, toggles, and tabs to illustrate possible future outcomes.

Financial Insights is Planworth's scenario workspace for illustrating possible future outcomes. It uses the client's information together with saved scenario assumptions and planning controls.

What you can do

  • Create, name, clone, and compare scenarios.

  • Review and save scenario Assumptions.

  • Use goals, sliders, and toggles to test planning directions.

  • Review dashboard charts, Plan Review, Summary, Details, analyses, and Snapshots.

  • Open Print Report for client-facing output.

Financial Insights is not the Evaluation. The Evaluation records current client information; a scenario represents one possible planning path. Existing scenarios keep their saved assumptions until edited.

It is also distinct from Statements, which shows generated current-position views, and Wealth Insights, which provides a tax and estate roadmap workflow.

Navigate the scenario tabs

After a scenario launches, work is organized across tabs. Confirm Current Scenario before using any of them.

Tab

Use it to

Dashboard

Review high-level charts and available quick sliders

Plan Review

Walk chart-based review in the advisor workspace

Goals

Review goal results for the scenario

Assumptions

Review or change the saved scenario frame

Summary

Read the high-level story, comparisons, assumptions, and toggles

Details

Trace projected results in tables

Analysis

Open specialized tools such as Monte Carlo and Variance where available

Snapshots

Save a plan state for later comparison

Not every review requires every tab. Start with the client question, use Dashboard or Plan Review for the broad story, and move to Details when a number needs tracing. Use Analysis only when a specialized tool helps answer the planning question.

Return to the Evaluation

Return to Evaluation opens the client's Evaluation from Financial Insights. It is navigation only — it does not refresh an existing scenario's saved assumptions. After editing client information, reopen Financial Insights and confirm the intended scenario under Current Scenario.
