How the Excess/Deficiency order override works

Review a scenario's saved Excess/Deficiency order and its visible override.

The scenario's saved Assumptions → Excess/Deficiency order normally controls how Planworth applies surplus cash and covers a shortfall. An Excess/Deficiency Order Override toggle carries a different deposit and withdrawal order for the dates saved on the toggle.

Review the two controls

  1. Open Financial Insights and confirm Current Scenario.

  2. Review the scenario's saved Excess / Deficiency settings.

  3. Open Planning Inputs.

  4. Find the Excess/Deficiency Order Override toggle, or add it through Add Toggle / Strategy → New Toggle.

  5. Record the order and effective dates exactly as shown.

  6. Save the toggle.

  7. Compare the same year in Details and record the visible deposit or withdrawal rows.

While the toggle is on, its order replaces the scenario's saved order for the dates it covers. After its end date, the saved Assumptions order applies again. Avoid overlapping override toggles for the same year.

For an unexplained result, send Planworth Support the scenario, saved scenario order, override order, effective years, expected result, actual result, and matching Details rows.
