Glossary: common Planworth terms

Use consistent Planworth language for client information, planning scenarios, reports, and review tools.

Use these definitions when navigating Planworth or discussing a plan.

Client information and planning

  • Family Info: The people included in the client's household.

  • Evaluation: The client's financial information, including accounts, income, real estate, debts, insurance, and other planning facts.

  • Scenario: A Financial Insights projection with its own planning assumptions and choices.

  • Assumptions: Dates, rates, portfolio settings, and other inputs used by a scenario.

  • Goal: A planning objective, such as retirement, education, estate, or debt.

  • Toggle: A scenario-level planning control for modelling a specific change. A saved toggle can be turned on or off.

  • Strategy: A named group of one or more saved toggles on the same scenario. Turning a Strategy on or off turns its member toggles on or off together. Deleting a Strategy removes the group but keeps its toggles on the scenario.

  • Financial Insights: The area for building, reviewing, comparing, and presenting projected scenarios.

  • Wealth Insights: A tax and estate planning roadmap based on the client information available to Planworth.

  • Details: Tables used to trace projected cash flow, net worth, and other results.

  • Snapshot: A saved scenario result used for later comparison or reporting.

  • Plan Review: Financial Insights views used to review the scenario.

  • Presentation Mode: A presentation-focused view of the plan.

  • Print Report: The Financial Insights action that opens Report Wizard to create a PDF.

Insights Core and Insights Pro

  • Insights Core: Financial planning plus tax, estate, and insurance insights for personal accounts and common assets.

  • Insights Pro: Includes Insights Core and adds corporation modelling, the corporate chart, and related corporate tax and estate insights.

  • Base Assumptions: An Assumptions tab, not a subscription tier.
