How to set a scenario's Base Assumptions

Review and save the Base Assumptions for one Financial Insights scenario, including its name and planning parameters.

Use Assumptions → Base Assumptions to name a scenario and review the core planning values saved for that scenario.

Steps

  1. Open the client's Financial Insights.

  2. Confirm the intended scenario under Current Scenario.

  3. Open Assumptions, then Base Assumptions.

  4. Review Scenario Name and the other values shown, which can include life expectancy, inflation, dates, and USD/CAD.

  5. Select Save.

  6. Return to the scenario dashboard and confirm the intended scenario is still selected.

New Scenario Base Assumptions for the Lee household, showing Scenario Name, Continue, and Skip and Create Scenario

Base Assumptions belong to the selected scenario. Changing them does not update the factual client information in the Evaluation. Existing scenarios keep their saved assumptions until they are edited.

If the scenario name does not update or saved values revert, confirm the correct scenario was selected and try saving again. Contact Planworth Support if the issue continues. Choose values that reflect the client's planning assumptions, and review their effect before relying on the scenario.
