How to create a scenario: the New Scenario setup wizard

Create a Financial Insights scenario by reviewing the New Scenario setup pages and launching the plan.

Use the New Scenario setup wizard to name a planning path, review its available assumptions, and launch it in Financial Insights.

Before you begin

  • The Evaluation does not need to show 100% completion.

  • If Financial Insights does not open, record the visible message or blocked state and contact Planworth Support.

Steps

  1. Open Financial Insights from the Client Dashboard.

  2. If the client has no scenarios, Planworth creates one and opens the setup wizard. If a scenario already exists, select the pencil beside Current Scenario, then select New Scenario.

  3. On Base Assumptions, enter a clear Scenario Name and review the available values.

  1. Select Continue to move through the setup. Use Back when you need to revisit the previous page.

  2. Review each page that appears. The setup can include Spending Goals, Major Expenses, Excess / Deficiency, rates of return, portfolio allocations, income, toggles, and a summary. Corp / Trusts is shown only when it is available for the client. Corporate Chart may be unavailable on Core.

  3. On Summary, select Launch Scenario.

The named scenario opens in Financial Insights. Confirm the name under Current Scenario before reviewing results.

Choose the full setup or skip

The full setup lets you review assumptions before the first projection. Use Skip and Create Scenario only when you need to reach the scenario workspace first and review assumptions afterward.

Creating a scenario does not change the Evaluation. Existing scenarios keep their saved assumptions until you edit them.

Troubleshooting

  • Corp / Trusts does not appear. Review the pages shown for this client. Corporate Chart may be unavailable on Core.
