Understanding account-level versus scenario-level planning controls

Distinguish account information visible in the Evaluation from controls visible on a Financial Insights scenario.

Account records and scenario controls serve different purposes.

  • The Evaluation records the client's account facts.

  • Scenario Assumptions, sliders, and toggles are controls shown for the selected scenario.

Account-level information

Use the Evaluation to add or update the client account itself, including the account type, owner, balance, and other fields Planworth displays. After reviewing an account record, open the intended scenario and verify its visible assumptions, sliders, and toggles.

Scenario-level controls

Use the open scenario for a planning variation, such as:

  • changing an assumption for that scenario

  • testing a slider value

  • adding a contribution, transfer, access, sale, or other toggle

  • changing deposit or withdrawal order within the scenario

Use these controls for the selected scenario. Use the Evaluation separately when reviewing the account record.

Auto-Generated toggles

Some toggles show an Auto-Generated badge. That badge identifies their Evaluation origin, and Planworth may prevent their deletion in Financial Insights. Follow the visible deletion message. The badge does not establish when or how the toggle was created, updated, or linked.
