Advisor Settings give new planning work a consistent starting point. They do not replace client information in the Evaluation or the settings already saved on a scenario.
Find Advisor Settings
Open Advisor Settings from the account menu. Advisor Profile is the default area in the current reference. The navigation may also show Financial Insights Settings, Branding, Report Wizard Settings, and Billing & Payments. Availability depends on the workspace and access.
Visible Financial Insights Settings can include Base Assumptions, Spending, Excess/Deficiency, Rate of Return, Portfolios, Corporations, Family Trusts, and Display Options. Use only the areas shown for the workspace; Corporations belongs to the applicable Pro context.
The five planning layers
When two controls affect the same part of a plan, use this order of authority:
Toggles
Sliders
Scenario Assumptions
Evaluation
Advisor Settings
The higher layer takes priority when it can apply.
What each layer is for
Advisor Settings provide workspace defaults for new scenarios, such as starting assumptions or portfolio settings.
Evaluation stores client-level facts such as household information, accounts, real estate, and debts.
Scenario Assumptions are saved with one scenario and establish its planning baseline.
Sliders make quick adjustments to the open scenario.
Toggles add or remove a named strategy on the open scenario.
When defaults are copied
When you create a scenario, Planworth builds its starting assumptions from the current client profile and available Advisor Settings. Those starting assumptions then belong to that scenario.
Changing Advisor Settings later does not automatically update an existing scenario. Review and edit that scenario's assumptions if you want it to use a new default.
Likewise, updating the Evaluation does not automatically replace assumptions, sliders, or toggles already saved on an existing scenario. New scenarios start from the current information.
