How to update an existing plan for a new year or annual review

Update current client facts, review saved scenario choices, and preserve a comparison point for an annual plan review.

Update current client facts in the Evaluation, then separately review the saved assumptions, goals, sliders, and toggles in the applicable Financial Insights scenario.

Annual review workflow

  1. Review Family Info and the Evaluation for visible information that changed, such as income, account balances, debts, property values, and insurance information.

  2. Use a save control when one is shown.

  3. Open Financial Insights and confirm the intended scenario.

  4. Review its Assumptions, goals, sliders, and toggles, including any one-time item whose date has passed.

  5. Decide whether to keep updating the existing scenario or preserve it and create a separate planning path.

  6. If a prior Snapshot exists, open Snapshots and compare it with the current scenario.

  7. Review the updated results before presenting or generating a report.

  8. Save a new Snapshot when you need a fixed reference for this review.

Evaluation edits do not automatically rewrite an existing scenario's saved assumptions. Use Return to Evaluation for navigation, then reopen the intended scenario and verify its visible information rather than assuming how other Evaluation changes propagate.
